Job Summary
Lead design and analysis tasks for roads and highways projects in Queensland, ensuring deliverables meet Australian Standards, client expectations and internal quality benchmarks. Independently undertake key technical tasks across multiple projects, apply project management principles to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, and prepare technical reports and proposals for small to medium projects. Monitor scope and risk while effectively using business systems, build strong client relationships, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, and develop safety in design and risk identification. Proficiency across relevant engineering software and CRM principles is required, with a proactive, client-focused mindset and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 2+ years proven experience in roads and highways design
- Solid understanding of Australian Standards and specifications
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information
- Proficiency across relevant engineering software and business systems
- Proactive, client-focused mindset
- Excellent time management and ability to juggle priorities
- Ability to lead and work independently within a team
