Job Summary
Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) based in Bangalore, India. The role focuses on remote diagnostics and troubleshooting across the global BESS fleet, deep-diving into the SCADA/LINUX stack, and coordinating with Field Service Engineers to minimize MTTR. Key duties include acting as the primary technical responder for alarms and high-priority incidents, performing system health checks on Ubuntu/Linux-based site controllers, analyzing logs for root causes, ensuring compliance with security standards (NERCCIP/local), troubleshooting industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus), and documenting RCA findings for continuous improvement. The position requires 2+ years experience in NOC/ROC/Industrial Control environments, a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, and the ability to work a 24/7 rotational shift in the Bangalore office. Preferred qualifications include direct experience with BESS or Renewable Energy, familiarity with power electronics, and experience with ticketing and SCADA visualization tools (e.g., Salesforce Service Cloud, Radix Mango DAS).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, electronics, or computer Engineering
- 2+ years in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Remote Operations Center (ROC), or Industrial Control Room environment
- Hands-on experience on Linux operating system, SCADA platforms, Industrial network and communication protocols
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotational shift schedule in the Bangalore, India office
