Job Summary
Engineer, Quality Systems (QC Labs) independently designs and develops data, software, or technology solutions to address scientific or business questions for AbbVie QC Labs. Proficient across programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data visualization, and analytics; capable of working cross-functionally with IT shared services, manufacturing site representatives, and QA Lab stakeholders. Responsibilities include designing solutions, understanding project objectives, mentoring others, producing technical documentation, obtaining vendor estimates, and contributing to technical publications and roadmaps. Skills include LIMS/ELN/CDS/Lab systems configuration, relational databases, SQL, and coding in Python/C#; ability to adapt literature and implement machine learning or data-driven approaches to improve efficiency and insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
- 5+ years relevant work experience
- Experience configuring and deploying Lab Systems (LIMS, ELN, CDS, Inventory, Asset Management)
- Strong SQL skills and coding skills (e.g., Python, C#, JSON)
- Excellent analytical, judgment and consultative capabilities and communication skills
- Excellent communications and influencing skills with ability to balance stakeholder interests
