Engineer, Quality Systems

Engineered to drive quality and continuous improvement at SGL's St. Marys graphite manufacturing site, this role leads the design and implementation of the quality system to deliver a quality product, on time, while reducing cost and improving productivity. Responsibilities include owning the Customer Complaints process, administering the CAP system, control plans and change control, managing the SGL Lifecycle Process and Stage Gates, overseeing internal audits, assisting with product certification, supporting customer audits, representing SGL at customer locations for DOE and capability studies, generating quality reports, and performing MSA/Gage R&R studies. Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, ASQ certification, and strong skills in MS Office, SAP, Shop Vue, statistical software, and digital photography, with excellent verbal and written communication, decision-making, organization, analytics, and problem-solving abilities.
