Job Summary

Quality Engineer at StandardAero in Cincinnati, OH is responsible for driving improvements in COPQ, product quality, and process efficiencies; recognizes and reports safety-critical flight/product parts and participates in proactive risk analysis; develops and implements corrective/preventive actions with Operations Leaders and Production Engineers; provides engineering support to Operations and Production teams to resolve quality-impacting non-conforming products or processes; maintains safe work environment per safety/environmental programs; analyzes defect data and generates statistical reports for management review; conducts root-cause and corrective action analyses with Production Cells; performs audits of processes, testing, and measurement equipment; ensures conformance to internal and external requirements and supports regulatory requirements; applies quality methodology, monitors projects, and offers technical advice on quality system criteria and airworthiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or other related Engineering field, with 3 plus years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • 2 plus years of experience in using quality analytical tools and problem-solving methodology.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Quality Management Systems in the MRO/aerospace industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to maintenance and certification for products processed by the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of gas turbine engine theory and performance.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of NADCAP, AS9100, AS9110, and/or ISO9001.
  • Thorough knowledge of First Article Inspections/AS9102.
  • Effective communicator in both verbal and technical writing.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints or technical figures.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • Strategic planner with strong time management and leadership ability.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality analytical tools and problem-solving methodology.
  • Able to problem solve, process information quickly, challenge current processes and take initiatives towards improvement.
  • Works well in a collaborative team-based environment.
