Job Summary
Conduct root cause analysis using 8D and 5 Whys to identify corrective and preventive actions for quality issues. Perform audits to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements, including AS9100D, ISO9001, and NADCAP certifications. Interface directly with customers and vendors to manage quality topics, resolve complaints, and facilitate product disposition. Oversee critical testing, inspection procedures, and FAI reviews while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams on procedural problems. Develop written procedures for quality assurance activities and apply LEAN/Six Sigma tools for process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year technical degree or equivalent
- prefer Mechanical Engineering
- 4-8 years experience in various phases of Quality Assurance
- experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Nuclear Power generation environments
- Must be mobile
- capable of communicating with plant personnel at all levels
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Superior analytical skills
- capable of using current computer analysis tools
- All candidates must meet the US persons criteria
