Job Summary
Plan, document, and execute engineering projects under senior engineer guidance while participating in APQP and Customer Focus Teams. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to estimate cycle times, optimize process flows, and refine Process FMEA's to reduce high RPN values. Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues, support special tool procurement strategies, and assist in defining plant layouts to enhance ergonomic requirements. Monitor scrap reduction against plant targets and contribute to SRED and waste elimination activities. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 1-2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and APQP/PPAP processes. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- 1-2 years of engineering experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office, including Powerpoint
- Knowledge of SPC, GD&T, APQP, CFM and PPAP processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Practical knowledge of cutting tools, machining processes, materials & equipment
