Job Summary
Assess risks induced by new tasks or reworks on aircraft components and define action plans to negate them. Coordinate and manage daily technical action plans, following up with assembly team managers on task assignments, operations, and discrepancies according to schedule and quality levels. Conduct daily monitoring of critical issues, including shortages and technical events, reporting to the assembly team manager with recommendations to keep the line moving. Manage aircraft transfers, projects, and new processes, utilizing support teams to maintain production and improve schedules. Perform root cause analysis to define corrective action plans for cost, schedule, and quality improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Engineering, Business or related field
- Three (3) years of experience in aircraft completions, maintenance and/or components manufacturing
- Knowledge of engineering practices and challenges related to the management of the production process
- Ability to research, analyze and recommend efficient production processes through production engineering concepts regarding work-study, ergonomics, operation research, root cause analysis, manufacturing management, materials management, production planning etc
- Ability to read, understand and communicate (both verbally and in writing) technical information contained in aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
- Proven abilities in analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems by determining and following detailed action plans
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include PowerPoint, Project, Access and SharePoint
- Must be able to function throughout the total facility, including up and down stairs and in and out of aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation
- Travel by surface and air to include international as required
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent in French
- Aeronautical experience
- FAA Airframe and Power plant licenses
- Leadership experience
- Formal training in Lean/Continuous improvement
- PMP Certification
- Knowledge of Visual Basic
