Job Summary
Conduct field accident and incident investigations for JLG and Jerr-Dan products using on-site inspections, photographs, videos, and 3D scanning. Assist counsel in research and discovery processes for litigation matters while initiating interactions with Engineering and other departments on product safety and reliability. Prepare Field Service Bulletins and Service Information, and review new products for standards compliance. Represent the company in Government and Trade Association matters such as OSHA, CSA, AEM, and ANSI. Review technical publications and marketing materials from a safety perspective to recommend revisions or escalation. Interact with customers and end users regarding machine application, safe use, and technical specifications. Handle confidential and legally sensitive information with discretion and attention to evidence preservation. Travel up to 50% on short notice to perform functional checks and document investigations. Bachelor's degree in engineering required with internship or six months of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field
- Internship experience or 6 plus months of related work experience
- Travel up to 50%, sometimes on short notice
Desired Qualifications
- Education or experience focused on electro-mechanical, mechatronics, electrical or mechanical engineering
- Internship, co-op, or up to three years of related engineering experience
- Ability to multitask with effective organization and communication skills
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to document observations clearly, objectively, and accurately
