Job Summary
Identify fundamental factors driving performance metrics and design test plans to optimize hair styling and drying outcomes. Utilize modeling tools like Minitab, MATLAB, or Excel to create predictive models, analyze experimental data with technical rigor, and propose design mitigations. Formulate clear problem statements, characterize risks, and balance complex system interactions to ensure performance meets claim targets. Collaborate with project teams to deliver optimized results, communicate findings to stakeholders, and document work for future reference. Challenge the status quo to enhance product reliability and time to market while developing technical competencies for progression into a product performance expert.
Required Qualifications
- At least a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Ideally 2+ years' experience in product design and development, or equivalent relevant experience, lesser experience may be considered for the right candidate
- Strong working knowledge of engineering fundamentals, measurement analysis and statistical analysis
- Competency in Minitab, MATLAB or Excel or other data acquisition/processing tool
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Can communicate ideas and concepts, frequently tailoring communication to suit different levels
- Ability to persuade and influence others as needed, typically within a project team
Desired Qualifications
- Some competencies in the use and application of CAD/CAE tools in general is preferred
- Reasonable experience in statistical modelling such as multiple regression modelling is preferred
