Job Summary
Design and release Electrical Distribution Systems using CAD and PLM platforms while managing engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle. Interpret customer requirements into robust engineering solutions and coordinate design reviews, validation activities, and DFMEA/DVP efforts. Support prototype builds, production launches, and customer engineering requests by collaborating with Manufacturing, Costing, Systems Engineering, and Quality teams to optimize products and reduce costs. Perform Engineering Change Impact Analysis and assist in troubleshooting wire harnesses during builds or after assembly, requiring the ability to lift 30-pound assemblies and climb inside vehicles. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering with 2–6 years of automotive product development experience is required. Onsite work at the office with domestic and international travel; overtime may be necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline
- 2–6 years of experience in automotive product development
- Experience with CATIA, NX, AutoCAD, Harness XC or similar software
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP, engineering change management and Design for Manufacturing
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- English proficiency
- Onsite at office
- Must have reliable transportation from and to work
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
