Job Summary
Develop manufacturing methods, equipment, and processes for new product programs while defining equipment utilization, floor space requirements, and process flow layouts. Engineer manufacturing processes collaboratively with product engineering to ensure designs utilize standard production methods, and write equipment and process specifications. Purchase, install, and debug effective equipment meeting financial and quality requirements, ensuring readiness for customer critical events including run at rate, PPAP, and MRDs. Create manufacturing bills of materials, process flow diagrams, PFMEA, and tooling authorizations. Develop preventive maintenance schedules, apply Lean principles to minimize WIP and optimize cost, and use statistical methods to solve process problems. Comply with ISO 14001/45001 and IATF 16949 standards and share best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering
- Minimum one year experience in manufacturing or process engineering in the production environment
- Automotive experience preferred
- Desire Mandatory trainings by client
- Troubleshooting Tools
- Core Tools
- PFMEA and Reverse PFMEA Knowledge
- Lean Manufacturing Systems Knowledge
- Knowledge in GD&T (Drawing Interpretation)
- AUTOCAD Knowledge
- OMNEX program management
- Ability to perform time and motion studies
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques (KanBan, Kaizen)
- Ability to develop and implement manufacturing layout, processes, and changes, equipment specifications and ergonomic evaluations
- Excellent knowledge and execution of problem solving
- Good written and verbal communication skills
