Job Summary
Process and Tooling Engineer sought to develop manufacturing processes from customer blueprints, design and order tooling (fixtures, quench plugs, dies, gear-related tooling), read schematics/prints, and troubleshoot shop-floor technical issues at the Macomb, MI facility. Responsibilities include incorporating customer and internal change requests to improve processes, reviewing customer specifications and POs for incorporation, and applying computer skills to resolve production challenges while maintaining relationships across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; equivalent related aerospace industry experience may be considered
- Gear or precision manufacturing experience, including tooling/fixture design, preferred
- Autodesk Inventor or other 3D modeling experience preferred
- Machining experience required; lathe, mill, and grinding experience preferred
- CNC programming knowledge a plus
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
