Job Summary
Lead instrumentation and electrical design across multiple plant projects (0–50 hours/week for one year). Responsibilities include leading instrumentation design, preparing/modifying Instrumentation Data Sheets, Installation Details, and Instrumentation Loop Sheets; developing as-built documentation; coordinating with plant engineering, construction, vendors, and other disciplines; developing material take-offs to support procurement and construction; and interfacing with external parties to obtain technical information. Requires strong NEC knowledge, CAD drafting skills (AutoCAD/MicroStation), and the ability to produce accurate electrical installation documents and schedules. Education requirement is a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with PE registration highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering
- Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Familiarity with construction bulk materials and equipment specifications and installation details
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation CAD drafting
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Professional Engineering registration (preferred)
- Ability to develop electrical installation documents and material quantities
- Ability to size wiring, conduit, and protection for lighting and power applications
- Authorization to work in the United States
