Job Summary
FPGA Developer/Software Engineer (Principal Engineer level) to design, implement, verify, and optimize high-performance digital hardware for military applications on FPGA platforms. Responsibilities include FPGA design for DSP/data-processing, HDL coding, simulations, place-and-route, timing optimization, lab/SIL integration, and FPGA-SoC code integration to enable end-to-end functionality. Requires a STEM degree with multiple years of related experience (Bachelor’s with 2+ yrs or Master’s with 0+ yrs; PhD with relevant experience also acceptable); ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance; relocation assistance may be available; location El Segundo, CA; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering
- Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with at least 0 years of experience
- Proven experience in FPGA development for DSP and data-processing applications
- Running simulations and place-and-route
- Lab/SIL integration and system bring-up
- Integrating FPGA-SoC code to enable the device
- Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain final adjudicated Secret clearance
- Knowledge of machine-learning accelerator design (preferred)
- Existing Active In Scope Government Clearance (preferred)
- MS or PhD in related field (preferred)
- Hands-on board bring-up, PCB layout review, and timing closure on multi-die platforms (preferred)
