Job Summary
Engineer power closures for Scout Motors' electric pickup/SUV programs, collaborating with design, systems, and styling teams to define exterior/interior concepts, develop concept architecture and vehicle integration for top hat components, create 2D/3D design documentation, and build prototype architectures for verification and testing. Requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in automotive power closures, CAD experience (Catia V5/3DX preferred), understanding of power closure systems, NVH, and related dynamic performance, and ability to travel for supplier, manufacturing, and testing activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in Automotive Power Closures development or equivalent industry experience
- CAD design experience for closures systems or related vehicle components
- Knowledge of automotive design and development process
- Willingness to travel to suppliers, manufacturing, and testing facilities as required
