Engineer (PE) - Structural

Job Summary
Prepare detailed engineering analyses, schedules, and technical reports for complex grade separation projects, large bridges, box culverts, and hydraulic structures including dams and floodwalls. Design structural projects with CAD designers, attend cross-disciplinary meetings to advance work from conceptual to final design, and manage contract administration including change requests, invoices, and project budgets. Perform in-service safety inspections and load ratings of existing bridges while mentoring less experienced team members. Requires ND PE license or ability to obtain within six months, minimum four years of structural design experience, and proficiency in MicroStation OpenRoads. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering, or related Engineering field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and construction of structures
- ND Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain the license within 6 months
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Working knowledge of project team roles and responsibilities
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating MicroStation OpenRoads
- SD PE License or ability to get within 6 months
