Job Summary
Support enterprise network systems by implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud connectivity solutions. Manage Fortinet SD-WAN deployments, monitor performance for capacity planning, and document configurations while collaborating with Security, Voice, and Infrastructure teams. Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and project delivery to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable services across campus, WAN, and cloud environments. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and two years of network engineering experience, with a focus on routing, switching, and security fundamentals within an energy transition organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant network engineering experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Supporting enterprise network environments (campus, WAN, or data center)
- Basic to intermediate understanding of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and Layer 2/Layer 3 concepts
- Exposure to Fortinet SD‐WAN
- MPLS, DIA, and Internet-based WAN connectivity
- Experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of VPN technologies (IPSec/SSL)
- DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and network service fundamentals
- Experience supporting enterprise wireless environments
- SNMP-based monitoring tools
- Basic network diagnostics and packet analysis
- Working knowledge in the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of network systems
Desired Qualifications
- CCNA or equivalent
- Fortinet NSE (entry-level, e.g., NSE4)
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS networking concepts
- Exposure to network automation concepts, tools, and processes (e.g., Python, APIs, Ansible)
- Interest in improving operational efficiency through automation
