Job Summary
Engineer, Network responsible for rapidly and reliably designing and activating commercial customer services across network access technologies including dedicated fiber and PON environments. Implement and ensure consistent operating, configuration and engineering standards to ensure stable product delivery aligned within company guidelines and expectations. Support System Field Operations to ensure all Circuit Activation solutions are operating consistently within company specification. Collaborate on the development of the technical solution to be implemented in field deployments. Manage priorities, participate in scripting/automation initiatives (e.g., Zero Touch Provisioning), support vendors, participate in budget planning, and ensure high-quality customer experience with reliable speeds 24x7.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Industry and vendor certifications and training (Cisco, NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Datacom network design and architecture
- Minimum 4 years of experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, RIPv2
- Minimum 4 years of experience with TCP/IP and IP/MPLS networking, subnets, and the OSI Model
