Job Summary
Review RFP/RFQ/Contract packages for technical requirements, prepare proposal technical exceptions, and develop technical bid packages for equipment and subcontractors. Monitor, support, and administer technical subcontractors while reviewing engineering deliverables for accuracy and contract compliance. Manage 3rd party engineers for progress, quality, and cost, provide input to schedule and estimating, and facilitate constructability reviews. Visit sites and subcontractors as needed to assist on-site, monitor progress, and support project closeout. This remote role requires up to 30% travel and 4-8 years of experience in mechanical design for gas-fired Power Generation facilities.
Required Qualifications
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- PE Certification
- desire and ability to obtain PE Certification in other states
- Capable to visit construction sites and operating industrial plants
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Skilled in oral and written communication
- Experience with execution of multiple EPC projects from bid through project completion
- Experience in developing, executing and presenting a high-quality proposal to management
Desired Qualifications
- experience in mechanical design with a construction company in a construction environment
- experience in the development of gas-fired Power Generation facilities including combined cycle experience
