Job Summary
Mechanical engineer role focusing on electro-mechanical design of LV/MV drive systems for volume manufacturing, including concept, detailed design, validation, NPI, localization, and cost-out activities. Responsible for mechanical design and analysis, development deliverables, Design Reviews, cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product Line, Projects, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, adherence to GE Vernova standards, and English communication. Requires CAD design proficiency, sheet metal layout, GD&T, experience with LV/MV drives, and ability to travel internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors/Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/CAD design Preferred)
- Mechanical Design with Development expertise (1-5 Years) in LV/MV drives
- Requisition engineering and cost reduction experience – Localization and VA/VE
- Experience with CAD tools, Sheet metal design
- GD&T
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Hands-on prototype experience
- Familiar with simulation tools (PRO-E, Ansys, Creo)
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
