Job Summary
Mechanical design and analysis of LV and MV drive systems intended for volume manufacturing. Drive electro-mechanical engineering support from requirements definition through concept and detailed design to validation, including NPI, localization, and cost-out activities. Prepare mechanical deliverables and support design reviews for all mechanical aspects of product development programs. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Line, Projects, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing; adhere to GE Vernova standards; demonstrate problem-solving, self-motivation, and effective communication. Travel internationally and contribute to prototype building, sheet metal layouts, and creepage/clearance considerations for electrical equipment layouts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors/Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/CAD design preferred)
- Mechanical design development experience (1-5 years) in LV/MV drives
- Knowledge of requisition engineering and cost reduction (localization, VA/VE)
- Experience with CAD tools, sheet metal design, international standards/GD&T
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Fluent in English

- 1-5 years of mechanical design experience in LV/MV drive systems
- Cad design experience (CAD tools)
- Sheet metal design
- GD&T knowledge
- Experience with localization and VA/VE
- Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, Creo, PRO-E) desirable
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to travel internationally
- Self-motivated with problem-solving mindset
