Job Summary

Design, test, and implement new equipment, processes, and systems related to production flow, assembly methods, and raw material handling. Create assembly drawings, bills of materials, project budgets, and work instructions for new equipment and processes. Liaise with management, operations, suppliers, and contractors to facilitate manufacturing engineering projects and coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised equipment. Perform product and process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency improvement. Assist engineering technicians with building, assembly, and installation of new designs and equipment. Prepare detailed layouts of buildings and equipment for operations and maintenance. Full-time role in Tyler, TX with up to 25% travel. Bachelor's degree in engineering required with minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum 2-year experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Working experience with 3D CAD
  • Technical, problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Attitude of safety in all aspects of the job
  • Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in proximity to loud equipment
  • Must be able to moves/lift items weighing up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment regularly as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Industrial, Mechanical or Mechanical Technology degree
  • Experience working in a welding environment
  • Previous automation experience/exposure
  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting PLC's
  • Ability to weld
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in proximity to loud equipment
  • Must be able to moves/lift items weighing up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds
