Job Summary
Performs a wide variety of mechanical, electromechanical, subsystems, and control engineering assignments at a high degree of complexity with minimal direction from VP, Engineering. This position has significant latitude for independent action and decision. Assists management in developing new technology requirements, conducts design studies and cost analyses, and develops product documentation to customer specifications. Interfaces with customers to establish design definitions, presents at design reviews (PDR/CDR), and participates in Concurrent Product Development (CPD) meetings. Requires experience in CAD-enabled engineering, rapid prototyping, electronic packaging, and leadership in technical settings. Travel is required. Knowledge of aerospace, military, and commercial specifications and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (MS preferred) and 2-5+ years of manufacturing/design experience; US work authorization and ITAR considerations apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 2-5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or design environment
- Willingness, ability, and desire to travel
- Experience with designing and analyzing complex mechanisms, mechanical-electromechanical assemblies, and complex products
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and factory personnel
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Familiarity with aerospace, military, and commercial specifications
