Job Summary
Conduct daily property tours, handle guestroom maintenance requests, and oversee the Preventative Maintenance program to ensure all equipment meets hospitality standards. Train and supervise hourly engineering staff, coordinate scheduling, and conduct performance appraisals and interviews. Manage energy expenses, coordinate fire safety inspections, and respond to emergency situations using M.S.D. sheets. Maintain files of operational manuals and warranty agreements while ensuring pool and spa compliance with health codes. Overtime applies as necessary to complete job responsibilities. Full-time position with competitive benefits including daily pay, medical, dental, vision, and 401k. Located in Denver, CO.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Current Certification as required by Federal State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (i.e. HVAC pool operation electrical) property specific
- Current certification and licensing to operate and repair the hotels boilers and chillers as required by state city and local legislation
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
