Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair electrically run motors, HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry projects, and minor automotive repairs. Perform technical electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing diagnostics while safely using power tools like pressure washers and compressors. Execute gas-fired equipment, door lock, and electronic office/audiovisual repairs. Respond quickly to guest requests and manage emergency or life-threatening situations. Log essential information in the engineering logbook and maintain knowledge of fire, water, septic, and irrigation systems. Follow established safety procedures and support sustainability initiatives. Maintain a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment, furniture and warning labels
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management
Desired Qualifications
- Experience serving as a technician or engineer within a hotel or property management
- Experience with power tools use and safety
