Job Summary
ENGINEER LEAD TEST 3 role directs and coordinates system-level testing for naval ship systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs into test solutions; develops and directs comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules; coordinates integrated testing activities; reviews test requirements for completeness; performs technical analysis of complete systems; signs off tests for certification and key events; manages module testing, ensures test procedures are issued and signed off, and interfaces with NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, waterfront construction management, trades, Ship's Force, and designated test and support activities. Requires leadership in test coordination, resource planning, budgeting, and scheduling; strong writing and communication skills for technical reports and engineering reviews; 4 years of relevant experience and several certifications (LTE/SSO/Watch roles) with ability to obtain final clearance. Travel up to 10%; relocation assistance available; not eligible for telework.
Required Qualifications
- Must Have: Lead Test Engineer (LTE) or Ship Safety Officer (SSO) or Watch Supervisor or Watch Officer Certification or Trade REC Coordinator (TRC) and Trade REC Oversight Agent (TROA) Certification and 4 years of relevant professional/exempt experience.
