Job Summary
Lead simulation-driven design strategies from concept through product launch for Blue Bird’s CAE efforts, aligning simulation with Design Verification Plan & Report milestones, and developing scalable CAE methodologies. Drive validation of models against physical test data, investigate complex field issues via root-cause CAE analysis, and partner with Design, Test, and Manufacturing to meet performance targets while enabling manufacturability and assembly feasibility. Responsibilities include building automated workflows and scripting to shorten development cycles, communicating technical findings clearly, mentoring teams, and staying current with evolving simulation technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional computer aided engineering experience
- Proficiency in engineering software/tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, and Python scripting)
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident; authorized to work in the United States
