Job Summary
Assemble and test aerospace valves while assisting in daily production processes, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collecting efficiency and yield data. Collect, analyze, and report production metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies. Document standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process flows under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards. Collaborate with technicians, quality teams, and senior engineers on root cause analysis and corrective actions during new product introductions. Participate in on-the-job training and learning activities within a manufacturing facility that combines office work with shop-floor presence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Production, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field)
- All candidates must meet the US persons criteria
Desired Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, or project experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and production processes
- Strong willingness to learn and work in hands-on production settings
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts
- Familiarity with CAD tools, ERP systems, or basic automation concepts
- Basic knowledge of quality tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, SPC)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively on the shop floor
