Job Summary
Design, install, and operate multiple process areas; lead design decisions, coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors; translate lab-scale processes to pilot/production scale; develop safe handling methods for chemicals; establish safety controls and regulatory compliance; maintain master lists of chemical inputs/outputs and equipment; lead small teams and provide guidance to junior engineers; ensure process performance and reduce variances.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, material science, material science engineering, mechanical engineering, or another related field
- Knowledge of CAD and P&ID is required
- Experience with industrial equipment design, procurement, installation, and operation is required
- LVL IV typically ten years of experience in an engineering role
- A master’s degree in engineering or related field may be in lieu of two years of experience
- A Ph.D. in engineering or related field may be in lieu of three years of experience
- Previous experience at X-energy exceeding performance standards may be in lieu of years of experience
