Job Summary
Support structural design and analysis of precast concrete components under senior engineer guidance by interpreting architectural and structural drawings and performing basic engineering calculations. Assist with project coordination, tracking milestones, and supporting deliverable schedules while collaborating with internal teams including engineering, production, and field operations. Identify project issues and assist in developing solutions, provide engineering support to sales and estimating teams, and participate in site and plant visits to gain field and manufacturing exposure. Maintain compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and project procedures. This entry-level position requires EIT certification and a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering. Candidates must be detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn across design, production, and field environments while progressing toward Professional Engineer licensure. Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required, involving the ability to wear all required PPE and navigate industrial work areas.
Required Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
- 0-3 years of engineering experience
- Basic proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field
- Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed
- Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
- 0-3 years of engineering experience, preferably in precast or structural design
- Self-motivated with desire to pursue PE licensure
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
