Job Summary

Support structural design and analysis of precast concrete components under senior engineer guidance by interpreting architectural and structural drawings and performing basic engineering calculations. Assist with project coordination, tracking milestones, and supporting deliverable schedules while collaborating with internal teams including engineering, production, and field operations. Identify project issues and assist in developing solutions, providing engineering support to sales, estimating, and project development teams. Participate in site and plant visits to gain field and manufacturing exposure, assist in resolving technical issues, and communicate with contractors and stakeholders. Maintain compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and project procedures. Requires EIT certification, a Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
  • 0-3 years of engineering experience, preferably in precast or structural design
  • Basic proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Self-motivated with desire to pursue PE licensure
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas
  • May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration
  • Wells participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your I-9 Form information to confirm you are authorized to work in the U.S.
