Engineer In Training IV - Land Development

Job Summary
Lead technical design and coordination for residential land development projects, including grading, drainage, and utility system plans. Evaluate site constraints, coordinate permitting with local and state agencies, and perform complex engineering analyses, calculations, and design drawings with high accuracy. Serve as a technical resource, mentor engineers and EITs, and interface directly with clients and agencies to support project delivery and issue resolution. Requires a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, a minimum of 4 years of civil engineering experience, and Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Proficiency in engineering software and modeling tools is required; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively is essential. Typical work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Advanced proficiency with relevant engineering design and analysis software
- Strong understanding of codes and regulations applicable to assigned service areas
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical work, mentor others, and manage priorities with minimal oversight
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with overtime as needed
