Job Summary
Engineer-in-Charge for NYC DDC Construction Management units. Coordinate and supervise a team of Resident Engineers, Office Engineers, Inspectors, and Junior Engineers; conduct constructability review meetings to minimize delays; ensure accurate project information; generate data for contract negotiations and to assist Design/Engineering Services Utility Coordination; evaluate design/modifications, attend pre-alignment meetings; serve as on-site representative coordinating with public and private sector to minimize construction disruption; develop and train employees.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year high school diploma or equivalent + five years of full-time experience managing and/or inspecting construction projects with total cost at least $300,000 per year
- OR one year of experience as described and a baccalaureate degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, construction management, or related field
- OR one year of experience as described plus a valid professional license (PE, Architect, or Landscape Architect)
- Four-year high school diploma and two years of additional experience as described to total five years
- AC I Concrete Field-Testing certification or ability to take DDC training
- OSHA 10-hour certification
- US citizenship or legal right to work without visa sponsorship
