Job Summary
Lead and contribute as a Senior Vulnerability Detection Engineer in CrowdStrike’s Exposure Management group. Drive detection coverage for Host and Network Vulnerability Assessment across multiple platforms, collaborate with product management, and guide AI-enabled research and development of detection rules. Responsibilities include data discovery/validation, cross-team collaboration, and building automated, human-in-the-loop vulnerability validation workflows. Must communicate effectively across distributed teams, leverage AI tools for analysis and concept development, and design/implement an intelligent vulnerability assessment pipeline. Requires 7+ years of experience, hands-on scripting in Python/Perl (Golang a plus), and experience in vulnerability detection and exposure management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity/ vulnerability detection (Individual Contributor role; leadership experience a plus)
- Hands-on programming/scripting in Python and/or Perl; Golang experience desirable
- Experience with vulnerability analysis, detection pipelines, and exposure management concepts
- Ability to collaborate across multi-functional teams and communicate crisply from executives to engineers
- Experience with Agile processes
- Willingness to work in distributed teams and travel/onsite as needed
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team of vulnerability detection engineers and researchers
