Job Summary
Professional Engineer III / Senior – Electrical Controls design and field experience for APS generating plants. Develops and applies engineering solutions to complex issues, prepares detailed engineering plans, analyses, and specifications, ensures designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and interfaces with customers and management. Will provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers, coordinate large-scale projects, and leverage industry resources to address key technical issues. Requires a BS in engineering (ABET accredited), 5–8 years of relevant experience, and preferably Professional Engineer licensure; familiarity with utility industry codes, standards, and regulatory considerations is expected. Hybrid work arrangement with ~40% in-person collaboration; residence requirement to Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners) for hybrid role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in engineering or related applied science (ABET accredited)
- five (5) years engineering-related experience for Engineer III
- eight (8) years engineering-related experience for Engineer Senior
- Professional Engineer licensure (preferred)
- Knowledge of codes, standards, practices, safety standards
- Experience in utility industry (preferred)
- Approved degree list includes Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.
