Engineer III / Senior - Civil/Structural

Engineer III/Senior - Civil/Structural applies in-depth technical knowledge to complex engineering and construction projects and resolves emergent issues. Role is regularly relied upon in one or more engineering areas with substantial knowledge and provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Responsibilities include developing complex plans and analyses, ensuring compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements, interfacing with customers and management, and contributing to long-range strategies. Position may involve shift work and a hybrid work arrangement with about 40% in-person work; candidates must reside in Arizona or New Mexico. Requires a BS in an ABET-accredited engineering program and five (5) years (III) or eight (8) years (Senior) of engineering-related experience; PE licensure is preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of applicable codes and standards, experience in the utility sector, and the ability to address technical issues, lead teams, coordinate large projects, and interact with outside agencies and regulatory authorities. This role may require compliance with CIP access requirements and background checks, and is located at Arizona Public Service with hybrid work expectations.
