Job Summary
Engineer III focused on ammonia refrigeration design for Tyson Foods' refrigeration projects. Responsible for reviewing designs, providing ammonia refrigeration design engineering for new projects, evaluating existing ammonia refrigeration systems, maintaining knowledge of relevant codes, developing specifications and guidelines for design implementation, preparing and reviewing estimates for design and construction and project budgets and schedules, coordinating design work with other departments, and acting as the company representative when external engineering firms perform refrigeration work. Will supervise preparation of ammonia refrigeration specifications for bidding and construction, analyze bids to select the successful bidder, monitor project budgets and schedules, manage costs, and communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, vendors, and leadership. Travel up to 30% and relocation assistance are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
- Registration (by examination) as a Professional Engineer preferred
- 3+ years ammonia refrigeration experience preferred
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration codes
- familiarity with project management concepts
