Job Summary

Develop and maintain the Quality Management System aligned to ISO 9001:2015, establishing procedures, process controls, and audit mechanisms for certification readiness. Plan and implement corrective and preventive action programs to minimize losses and improve yields based on historical KPI performance. Execute internal audit programs, manage management review inputs, and apply statistical methodologies for continuous process improvement. Establish and maintain process controls and inspection criteria for metal fabrication, painting, and control panel assembly, ensuring compliance with UL 508A and IPC-A-620 standards. Lead manufacturing quality planning for new product introductions, oversee APQP practices, and drive FMEA development with cross-functional teams. Serve as the escalation point for component-related quality issues and facilitate cross-functional resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Manufacturing, Materials, Welding, or Mechatronics), or other related bachelor's degree in an engineering, engineering technology, or applied science discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing processes or Quality Engineering
  • Experience with products/processes transfers
  • Experience in Quality Control techniques and applied statistics
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and QMS documentation structure
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T
  • Strong analytical, organizational, statistical, and structured problem-solving skills
  • Project management
  • Working knowledge of new product introduction (APQP)
  • Working knowledge in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related applications

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification as a Quality Engineer (ASQ CQE)
  • QMS Internal Auditor certification; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor a plus
  • Green Belt certification
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / Certified Welding Educator, or equivalent weld inspection training
  • Experience with product safety standards
  • Experience in metal fabrication operations (welding, cutting, forming, painting/powder coating) and/or industrial control panel assembly
  • Experience developing or implementing a QMS through ISO 9001 certification
  • Basic knowledge of Infor SyteLine ERP
  • Basic knowledge of Windchill
  • Familiarity with welding standards (AWS D1.1/D1.3), coating specifications (SSPC), and UL 508A / IPC-A-620 workmanship standards
