Job Summary
The Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineer III role involves leading the design and qualification of mechanical products, driving cost analysis and implementing Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives. Responsibilities include identifying cost reduction opportunities while ensuring product quality, delivering projects on time with efficiency, and collaborating across teams. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 10 years of industry experience, with proven capabilities in cost reduction and project management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong track record of driving strategic cost reduction and VAVE initiatives
- Proven experience managing end-to-end VAVE projects
- Proficiency in product cost analysis, teardown, competitive benchmarking, and engineering optimization techniques
- Solid understanding of global engineering standards and product qualification processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- VAVE certification and/or PMP certification
- Experience with PLM tools such as Teamcenter
- Familiarity with CAD platforms like UG/NX
- Hands-on exposure to simulation tools such as Ansys
