Job Summary
Respond to and attend to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues with little supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, inspect tools/equipment, and identify/operate shut-off valves. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts. Read blueprints and electrical schematics for plumbing and HVAC. Demonstrate advanced knowledge across engineering computer programs for preventative maintenance and energy management. Troubleshoot and repair hotel MEP systems, use Lockout/Tagout before work, and train/mentor other engineers as necessary. Ensure safety, quality, and professional standards; follow company policies and protect assets. Requires strong mechanical/electrical/plumbing skills and the ability to perform complex repairs with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, parts inventory and requisition
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
