Job Summary
Respond and attend to guest repair requests, communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues, perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, inspect and carry equipment, locate and operate shut-off valves, maintain inventory, and ensure communication of daily activities to shifts. Demonstrates advanced ability to read standard blue prints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC, with strong mechanical skills across air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and related systems. Performs highly complex repairs of hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, uses Lockout/Tagout protocols, and utilizes engineering computer programs for preventive maintenance and energy management. Capable of training and mentoring other engineers and handling Engineer on Duty responsibilities, while adhering to safety, quality standards, and company policies. Requires physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, navigating stairs and ladders, and working in a guest-facing hotel environment; must possess high school diploma or GED-equivalent and relevant maintenance experience. Familiarity with safety certifications and local codes is expected, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills to coordinate with shifts and guests.
Required Qualifications
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing
- Valid Driver’s License
