Job Summary
Engineer II at The Cliffs Hotel & Spa performs repairs and maintenance across hotel, pool, spa, and restaurant equipment under the Chief Engineer and General Manager. Responsible for daily upkeep of hotel grounds, exterior surfaces, and preventive maintenance in partnership with hotel staff; handles in-house ticket updates, responds to guest and staff requests, and participates in renovation projects and minor construction. Must operate power tools, manage inventory, document maintenance logs, and work outside regular hours as needed. Education requires a high school diploma with 2-3 years of hotel engineering experience; knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile/pavers is expected; Pool & Spa Operator Certificate is a plus; strong communication and multitasking abilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2-3 years of hotel, lodging, or resort engineering experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile/pavers
- Pool & Spa Operator Certificate is a plus
- Good command of English language
- Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations
