Job Summary
Engineer II in the Platform Experience team contributes to the design, build, and maintenance of highly available, secure, and scalable services that underpin the Anaplan platform. You will collaborate across product management and other engineering groups, participate in technical planning and incident retrospectives, mentor junior engineers, and champion engineering excellence through hands-on coding and design reviews. The role emphasizes back-end development across Java, Kotlin, Go, and .NET, with strong emphasis on REST APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), observability (Grafana), testing, and continuous delivery. Preferred experience includes ExpressJS/Next.js, Webpack, WebSocket, and related front-end/back-end integration technologies; the candidate should possess a BS degree in CS or related field (or equivalent practical experience) and 6-12 years of relevant experience. Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong seniority with 6-12 years of experience in software development
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, .NET backend technologies
- Proficiency with REST APIs
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Helm
- Experience with observability tools (Grafana stack) and testing
- Experience with frontend/backend integration (TypeScript, Node.js, React.js, Redux, ExpressJS/Next.js)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with CI/CD and agile development
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field
