Job Summary
Coordinate projects for technology development and new product introduction, focusing on component prototype design for ultra-high purity gas filtration, diffuser, and point-of-use purifier technologies. Conceptualize, design, and develop prototypes with emphasis on high-purity processes, while characterizing and testing new products to ensure specified requirements are met. Assist in performing root cause analysis on quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives with the manufacturing unit. Provide documentation support by creating and maintaining drawings, SOPs, and test procedures. Help design, build, and qualify various lab equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to move between different office buildings in a Campus-style work environment
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience is preferred
- MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field a plus
- Ability to design, fabricate, and qualify tooling and equipment used in the manufacture and testing of products
- Hands-on experience using various machine shop tools, processes, equipment, etc. would be a plus
- Knowledge or experience in engineering design practices, solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred), and creating manufacturing drawings for use in producing prototype components
- Professional Engineer Certification, or ability to obtain one, a plus
- Experience with CFD/FEA a plus
- Familiarity with ASME Section VIII or similar pressure vessel codes is a plus
- Ability to design and fabricate process/test equipment used for product testing/production
- Knowledge in semiconductor hardware and systems a plus
- Experience driving engineering deliverables through structured stage‐gate processes, including requirements definition, concept evaluation, design freeze, prototype build, DFMEA/CFMEA, validation, and production readiness
- Being highly motivated, and able to work independently, as well as in a cross-functional team environment
