Job Summary
The Engineer II or III – Transmission Line will manage engineering assignments for high voltage transmission projects, including design basis development, equipment selection, and engineering support for project execution. Responsibilities include coordinating design requirements, performing engineering calculations, evaluating vendor equipment, and ensuring construction aligns with design specifications. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with specific design software experience and knowledge of industry standards being essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering program
- 2+ years of design experience with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software for Engineer II
- 4+ years of design experience with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software for Engineer III
- Working knowledge of the T&D industry
- Working knowledge of ASCE Substation Structure Design Guide and NESC code requirements and transmission & structure design is required
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification or achievement preferred and ability to get PE license in the future
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification (preferred)
- Working knowledge of engineering principles, business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles, business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
