Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer II role requires leading, designing, and qualifying products globally while focusing on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Responsibilities include performing cost benefit analysis, conducting VAVE studies, and fostering technical growth within the team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in mechanical and electromechanical parts, cost analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies, alongside excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 8+ years overall experience
- Strong record of driving strategic Cost out / VAVE deliveries
- Handled E2E cost out/VAVE projects (Scoping to Implementation)
- Awareness of regulatory requirements, certification, and engineering standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in product VAVE project execution
- Hands on experience in Product Cost analysis, Teardown, Competitive benchmarking, Value Analysis and Value Engineering
- Ability to influence team members
