Job Summary
Engineer II responsible for responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, inspecting and maintaining HVAC/mechanical systems, and assisting with painting and surface repairs. Requires proficiency in multiple technical categories (air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and related systems), safe use of hand and power tools, basic pipe repair (PVC copper with soldering), and troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems. Role includes Lockout/Tagout procedures, energy management programs, and potential mentoring of other engineers; under supervision, performs duties related to guestroom repairs, equipment maintenance, and ensuring communication across shifts. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and use computers for documenting activities. Education and experience: high school diploma or GED; vocational/technical background; at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience; valid driver’s license; universal CFC certification.
Required Qualifications
