Job Summary
Engineer II HVAC Technician responsible for repairing, maintaining, and inspecting HVAC/R systems and refrigeration equipment across hotel properties; monitor energy usage, calibrate controls, replace air filters, and respond to guest room calls. Duties include assembling/installing/maintaining electrical systems and pipe fittings, collaborating with the Director/GM on major repairs, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment. Requires EPA universal refrigerant license, HVAC repair training, and 5+ years of experience; High School diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read blueprints, understand electrical diagrams, and use Microsoft Excel/Office; strong math skills and effective communication; ability to work varied schedules and attend trainings.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- EPA issued universal refrigerant license
- Completion of course in HVAC repair, installation, and controls
- Completion of training relating to boilers, heaters, and alliances (can be class)
- 5+ years as a repair/technician working on Kitchen Equipment, HVAC, and refrigeration
