Engineer II - Documentation Specialist

Job Summary

Manage document lifecycle processes including creation, review, approval, release, revision, archival, and retirement of controlled documentation for the Global CM Documentation & Industrialization Hub. Maintain version control, naming conventions, metadata standards, and repository structure while coordinating reviews with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and external stakeholders. Ensure documentation completeness, accuracy, traceability, and compliance with internal procedures and quality expectations to support audit readiness. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and obsolete records to drive corrective cleanup actions, while developing user guidance and training materials for documentation submission and retrieval. Track KPIs including document aging and approval cycle time to improve content searchability and usability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Technical Documentation, Quality Systems, Information Management, Operations, or a related discipline
  • Experience in document control, technical documentation, engineering documentation, quality systems, or records management

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, quality, supplier management, or regulated documentation environments
  • Working knowledge of document lifecycle management, change control, metadata, taxonomy, version control, and records governance
  • Experience with PLM, SharePoint, document management systems, eQMS, ERP, or controlled repository platforms
  • Ability to structure complex technical content into clear templates, libraries, and governance processes
  • Familiarity with audit readiness, quality systems, compliance documentation, and controlled document practices
  • Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and information organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple document workflows concurrently
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills in a global environment
